Uzbekistan topped the medal table on the first day with three medals, including a gold for Diyora Keldiyorova in the women's -52 kg category. Spain and Canada were second and third respectively, while the breakout star was Sweden's Tara Babulfath. This changed on the second day.

The sixth day of the 2024 European Wrestling Championships saw the first five freestyle wrestling finals. Two of the gold medals went to Armenian wrestlers.

Karlos Nasar was too strong for his opponents on Day 6 of the 2024 European Weightlifting Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria. Antonino Pizzolato fought to the end but could not regain the European title.

The Baku Grand Slam 2024 kicked off on 16 February with 62 participating nations from around the world. Mrs Mariana Vasiliyeva, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport, opened the welcome speeches: "Dear guests, dear friends, ladies and gentlemen, on behalf of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I welcome you to Baku."

Two more 2023 European champions defended their titles at the Sofia 2024 European Weightlifting Championships. Loreadna Toma of Romania won the women's 71 kg, while Oscar Reyes of Italy was the best in the men's 81 kg.

Azerbaijan and Turkey both won two gold medals on the first day of the women's wrestling finals at the 2024 European Championships. And it was no surprise to see Azerbaijan's Mariya Stadnik top the podium for the 10th time in her career. 

Bulgaria's Bozhidar Andreev returned to his best form to top of the European podium in the men's -73 kg category for the first time in five years.

United World Wrestling (UWW) announced on 13th February that it has lifted the suspension of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) with immediate effect.

The Greco-Roman wrestlers have completed their competition at the 2024 European Wrestling Championships in Bucharest, Romania.

Returning European champions Kamila Konotop (Ukraine) and Gor Sahakyan (Armenia) defended their titles on Day 3 of the 2024 European Weightlifting Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria.

On the first day of the 2024 European Weightlifting Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria, the two lightest women's categories were contested.

Dakar, the capital of Senegal, hosted the African Qualifier for Paris 2024 Taekwondo on 10th and 11th February. 16 athletes from eight weight categories achieved the coveted qualification for the Olympic Games.

The 2024 European Weightlifting Championships will be held from 12-20 February in Sofia, Bulgaria. This is a qualifying competition for Paris 2024. Athletes will therefore need to perform at their best to improve their position in the Olympic rankings. 

The 2024 African Weightlifting Championships were held from 2-10 February in Ismailia, Egypt. The main star of the competition, Egypt's Karim Abokahla, the 2023 World Champion in the 96 kg category, did not disappoint the home crowd.
