In an unprecedented sporting showcase, the Dominican Republic has been the epicentre of sporting excellence, successfully hosting three internationally renowned events: the Paris 2024 Olympic Qualifier, the Paralympic Qualifier and the prestigious Dominican Open.

In an effort to boost sporting performance in the Pan American region and prepare athletes for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Qualifiers, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, will become the epicentre of sporting excellence by hosting the Olympic Camp.

The President's Cup held last week at the Palacio de los Deportes in Heredia, Costa Rica, was a true spectacle of athletic prowess and international camaraderie. Over 1200 athletes from 33 different countries gathered to compete in Poomsae and Kyorugi.

The President's Cup of the Pan American Taekwondo Union will begin on 14 March in Costa Rica. In a competition that will have the participation of more than 1,100 athletes from all over the American continent, the G-2 is set to be a transcendental event.

In a collaboration between the Pan American Taekwondo Union (PATU) and the recommendation of Panam Sports, the official launch of the first Pan American Taekwondo Championships in the U-21 categories has been announced. This initiative aims to strengthen and prepare the new generation that will compete at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

In a historic step towards strengthening taekwondo in the Pan-American region, the Pan-American Taekwondo Union has signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) aimed at promoting inter-institutional cooperation and enhancing opportunities for athletes and the entire PATU family in the region.

The recent Poomsae Officiating Seminar in the Pan American region was a resounding success, with the majority of participants being approved to officiate at WT sanctioned events.

As Querétaro gears up to welcome the best young taekwondo talents, the Arteaga Gymnasium will be the epicentre of the 2024 Pan American Cadet and Junior Taekwondo Championships from 18-21 July.

The Pan American Taekwondo Union (PATU) and Kukkiwon, the global headquarters of taekwondo based in South Korea, have signed a major cooperation agreement to establish a working office at the CU.

On 28th January the annual Pan American Taekwondo Union (PATU) 2023 Gala Dinner took place in Queretaro, Mexico. During the event, the athletes and the officials were honoured not only for their achievements in 2023, but also for their contribution to taekwondo over the years.

In an atmosphere of enthusiasm and commitment, the Pan American Taekwondo Union (PATU) launched three courses that promise to raise the standard of the discipline in the region. The first day of activities was marked by excellence and guidance from renowned masters and experts in various fields.

The PATU President's Cup will be held in Costa Rica from 14 to 17 March. At this important event for the G-2 category, the Continental Union will award quotas for the Pan American Cadet, Junior and Senior Championships, as well as points for the ranking.

The year begins in the Pan American Taekwondo Union (PATU) with many activities planned for the whole Pan American family. The Kyorugi Seminar in all divisions are already full, as is the Poomsae seminar, as is the Poomsae seminar and the joint event with WT.
