The World Curling Federation (WCF) has announced that it will hold an adult camp, designed to help recreational curlers develop their game, in Prague, Czech Republic later this year.

It is set to be the first WCF adult camp since 2019 and is due to be held at the Roztyly Curling Hall from August 29 to 31.

The camp is suitable for any adult curler, who has played the sport for at least one year, and who wants to improve skills related to delivery, sweeping and strategy.

There are 64 places available at a cost of $999 (£828/€941) per person, which includes all meals plus two evening excursions.

The WCF has announced a partnership with WOW! Special Event Management Inc, a company specialising in the production of live events in the field of sport and entertainment, who will support the WCF in delivering the camp.

WOW! Special Event Management has run HOT SHOTS Curling Camps in the United States and Canada since 1995, with more than 3,500 curlers attending the camps.

WCF head of development Scott Arnold said: "Having been an instructor at HOT SHOTS Curling Camp and knowing first hand of the success they have had over the past 25 plus years, I am excited to announce our partnership with WOW! Special Event Management Inc to operate the World Curling Federation Adult Curling Camp in Prague.

"David Gravelle and his team have worked on creating a curriculum that is second to none in the adult learn-to-curl market.

"I have always been impressed at how professionally run the camps are and I think this partnership makes the perfect next step in the development of the World Curling Federation Adult Curling Camp.

"New and experienced curlers alike will advance their skills learning from the HOT SHOTS instructors in Prague this summer, and hopefully many summers to come."
