On 23 May, around 50 organisations, including the European University Sports Association (EUSA) and the EUSA Institute, took part in the National Volunteering Week 2024 at the Preseren Square in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Representatives of the National University Sports Association (NUSA) visited the cities of Debrecen and Miskolc in Hungary on 22-23 May to see the ongoing preparations for the European Universities Games 2024 (EUG2024), according to EUSA.

One of the biggest sporting events for students in the Baltic States - the 39th edition of the SELL Student Games was held in Kaunas on 16-19 May, hosted by the Lithuanian Students' Sports Association, according to EUSA.

Split, Croatia, and its surroundings will host the 9th European Universities Games (EUG) in 2028 - this was announced at a press conference held in the amphitheatre of the Faculty of Science in Split

The vibrant city of Helsinki was the scene of a historic event in mid-April, as luminaries from the world of university sport gathered to celebrate the remarkable 100th anniversary of the Finnish Student Sports Federation (OLL). The gala event was held in honour of a century of sporting excellence and camaraderie.

During the EUSA Executive Committee meeting in Aveiro, Portugal, the latest Associate Member applications and revisions were presented and approved. This means that a total of 102 universities from 20 countries now enjoy the status and benefits of EUSA Associate Membership.

The European University Sports Association (EUSA) Executive Committee members, office staff and delegates met in Aveiro, Portugal, on 19 April. The first face-to-face EC meeting for 2024 was hosted by the Portuguese Academic Federation of University Sports (FADU) and the University of Aveiro.

Following the conclusion of the bidding process and the official presentation of the bids, the 2028 EUSA European Universities Games will be held in Split, Croatia with Granada in Spain hosting the 2030 edition.

The Finnish Student Sports Federation (OLL) celebrated its centenary on Saturday 13 April 2024 with a gala at the Koskenranta Event Centre in Helsinki.

As part of the ESOM (Enhancing Sport Organisations and Management) project, co-funded by the European Union, a webinar on good governance and policy-making was held on 11 April.

This week an additional inspection visit took place in Debrecen for the newly appointed European University Sports Association (EUSA) Technical Delegates and for those who could not schedule an inspection during the EUSA - EUG24 Convention last June.

Registration for this year's European Universities Rowing Championships is open, with the first decisive deadline set for 30 April.

European University Sports Association (EUSA) President Adam Roczek and EUSA Secretary General Matjaz Pecovnik also attended the first part of the meeting and wished them a successful and enjoyable two-year term and a productive meeting.
