A second team entered by Blind Sailing UK —helmed by Sally Rodrigues, with Matin Phillips and Karl Haines, under the guidance of coach Jonny Cormack— finished in second place, with an impressive record of six wins and just one loss. French teams came in third and fourth: the team skippered by Nicolas Rondouin finished third with a 5-2 record and the team led by Michael Aubert fourth after four wins and three losses from their seven races.

This was the first edition of the Blind Match Racing World Championships since the COVID pandemic and marked the return of the discipline on an international level, and was hosted by the Base Nautique de Sciez from 22-28 June. Blind Match Racing is one-on-one racing between identical Sonar keelboats. Blind and partially sighted sailors wearing an approved blindfold device race around a marked course using the sound of the buoys and the wind to make tactical racing decisions.
