Federation of International Bandy has announced the candidates for the Executive Committee ahead of the elections. FIB

The Federation of International Bandy (FIB) has released the list of eligible candidates for its Executive Committee (EC) ahead of the upcoming elections next month.

In a press release, FIB announced Friday that following a transparent nomination process and timeline, the Election Committee has reviewed and vetted all candidates submitted by Member Associations, assuring that they are in good standing and meets the highest standards of integrity, experience and dedication to lead the sport into a promising future.

This significant milestone is part of the ongoing governance reform, following FIB Statutes that have been amended in 2023, including good governance principles. The applied improvements include term limit, gender balance and Athletes representation at the EC, among others.

In a historical first, the EC will, for the first time, include representatives from both genders and athletes, demonstrating FIB’s dedication to gender balance and Athlete representation at the highest level of the organisation. The new EC will be completed by the Chair of the Athletes Committee, elected by the members of the Athletes Committee.
