With 67 records shattered at the Para Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile, the most important Paralympic event in the Americas continues. Brazil maintains its lead in the medal standings.

The VII Pan American Para Games Santiago 2023 continue their activities with many defining moments and record-breaking performances. Records have been broken in sports such as Para swimming, Para powerlifting, Para archery, and Para shooting.

It's important to note that there are three types of records at Santiago 2023: world records (WR), Pan American records (AR), covering any event with a participant from the continent, and Pan American Games records (RP), specific to the Games.

In the battle for the medal lead, Brazil solidifies its position as the main contender, more than doubling the United States' medal count (95 to 39) and nearly quadrupling in golds (42 to 12), establishing a significant lead over the rest.

In the nations' podium race, Argentina (9 golds) drops from second to fourth place, while Colombia (10 golds) maintains its third position. The opposite occurs for the North Americans, who climb the rankings that the Argentines drop, securing 12 gold medals.

The host country, Chile, is in fifth place (5 golds), but already competing in the second group of nations along with Mexico (4), Cuba (3), and Canada (3).
