Boats from Irish clubs won three gold medals at the World Rowing Coastal Championships in Barletta in Italy.

Monika Dukarska was among the country's winners in the Adriatic Sea as she triumphed in the coastal women's solo, establishing a lead in the second half of the race and coming home to the beach first.

Azerbaijan's Diana Dymchenko claimed silver and France's reigning world champion Jessica Berra took home bronze.

Dukarska was then able to double up as she took home the coastal mixed double sculls title with Ronan Byrne.

They were comfortable heading into the final buoys as Vincent Noirot and Edwige Alfred of France took silver and Clare Jamison and Charles Cousins of Britain the bronze.

Adrian Miramon Quiroga was another Irish rower to claim gold as he defended his title in the coastal men's solo.

Quiroga established an early lead but the race remained close as he got home in front of American Christopher Bak and Cousins respectively.

Bak did taste gold as he claimed the coastal men's double sculls alongside Kory Rogers.

In an extremely tight finish on the beach, Rogers got home on the sprint to the line just in front of Sweden's defending champion Dennis Gustavsson, who was rowing with Eskil Borgh.

Alexander Finger and Eduardo Gabriel Linares Ruiz of Germany won bronze.

The Netherlands won the coastal women's coxed quadruple sculls in front of holders Spain and Ireland as cox Dieuwke Fetter sprinted to the line on the beach for gold.

The Dutch also claimed the coastal women's double sculls thanks to Janneke Van Der Meulen and Karien Robbers who defended their title.

Austrian sisters Katharina and Magdalena Lobnig won silver and Spanish siblings Natalia and Celia Miguel Gomez took bronze.

Italy claimed a home gold in the coastal men's coxed quadruple sculls, winning a sprint to the line after a German rower tripped into the water after exiting the boat.

Germany did claim silver, with the second Italian boat taking bronze.
