The Swiss Olympic and Paralympic teams will travel to Paris 2024 with TGV Lyria as part of a new sponsorship deal.

The leading rail provider for sustainable mobility between Switzerland and France has become an official partner of the Swiss National Olympic and Paralympic Committees.

The Swiss-French railway company is joining Swiss Olympic with immediate effect.

"In 2023 and 2024 the Swiss Olympic and Paralympic delegations will travel quickly and comfortably to Paris on board the TGV Lyria trains and will be ready for the sporting competitions," Swiss Olympic said.

Roger Schnegg, director of Swiss Olympic said: "Entering into a partnership with TGV Lyria was an obvious choice - it is a conscious choice for a fast, sustainable and environmentally friendly means of transport that fits perfectly with our values.

"Thanks to TGV Lyria's busy schedule we can plan our journeys flexibly.

"The Swiss Olympic Team and the Swiss Paralympic Team will thus travel stress-free to Paris before the Olympic and Paralympic highlights are due."

Eric Dehlinger, the TGV Lyria chief executive added: "TGV Lyria is a Franco-Swiss company that offered itself at this important moment for both our countries.

"We are very proud of this partnership with Swiss Olympic, which will allow us to drive the Olympic and Paralympic teams to Paris, combining sustainability requirements with comfort and relaxation for the Swiss athletes of whom we will be the biggest fans."
