The medals for the 2022 International Blind Sport Association (IBSA) Judo World Championships in Baku have been revealed.

Each colour is in the shape of an eight-point star and has a circle on the front.

A map of Azerbaijan has been inscribed into the middle of the medal with the name of the compound around its outer rim.

Two judokas are seen competing on the back.

The IBSA Judo World Championships are scheduled to be held between November 8 and 10 at the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex, despite the host nation's involvement in the long-running Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Hundred of civilians and an estimated 5,000 military personnel were killed in a 2020 six-week war between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the disputed region.

Skirmishes have occurred several times since with the latest flaring up on Monday night and Tuesday morning (September 12 and 13).

Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan claimed 49 of the country's soldiers were killed while the Defence Ministry of Azerbaijan said 50 of its military personnel had died.

A ceasefire brokered by Russia is now in place.
