Olympic bronze medallist Jun Woong-tae is in the best position possible for the men's International Modern Pentathlon Union (UIPM) World Cup Final in Ankara, as the South Korean holds the lead with top marks in fencing.

With the fencing round not taking place again in the final, Jun's victory puts him top on 245 points, 10 in front of Dulio Carrillo of Mexico and 15 ahead of compatriot Seo Chang-wan.

Olympic champion Joe Choong from Britain is one of six athletes on 225 points, with some of the others including Jung Jin-hwa also of South Korea and Hungarian Csaba Bohm.

Carrillo had the best score from semi-final B today with a total of 1,450 points, one in front of Seo and Jun and four ahead of Ukrainian Maksym Aharushev.
