New member Robert Fenton, President of the Canadian Blind Sports Association, will assist with the writing of IBSA's bylaws, drafting policies and acting as chair of the organisation's soon to be established Legal and Ethics Committee.

He has much sport experience both on and off the field of play, having represented Canada in swimming at the 1984 Paralympic Games.

He also competed internationally in track and field and nationally in goalball.

Over the past 15 years, Fenton has sat on several Boards of Directors of organisations who serve the blind and partially sighted and became President of the Canadian body three years ago.

In addition, he has practiced law for the past 21 years and has been Legal Counsel to the Chief of Police of the Calgary Police Service for the past 14 years.

"I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Robert to the IBSA Executive Board," Hammershøi said.
