will cover the Opening Ceremony tomorrow
and the sporting action, with more than 6,000 athletes due to compete.
| The athletes will represent more than 200 clubs from across the Kingdom, in 45 different sports, and a leopard has been picked as mascot.
As well as traditional Olympic sports, events will include camel racing and esports, and four Para disciplines. |
The Games were due to begin in March, before being moved to October and November due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year’s Saudi Games come as the country prepares to host three major continental events in Asia - the
Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in 2025, the Asian Winter Games in 2029 and the Asian Games in 2034.
