May 20 - British Boxing has selected a 12-man team, which includes Beijing Olympian Bradley Saunders (pictured), to compete in the forthcoming European Championships in Moscow on June 4-13.

Saunders will be joined by fellow Beijing Olympian Khalid Yafai, who will compete alongside his brother Gamal.

Newly crowned Amateur Boxing Association of England (ABAE) champions, Antony Ogogo and Tommy Stubbs are also included in the team which is made-up of nine boxers from England, two from Wales and one from Scotland.

GB Boxing’s Performance Director, Rob McCracken said: "The GB Boxing squad has performed very well this year and has benefited from being exposed to a high standard of international competition.

"We are building towards [London] 2012 and this Championship will provide us with a good indication of where we are in that process."

GB Boxing’s men have won 16 medals in three major international competitions in 2010.

In February, the team landed three bronze and a gold for Andrew Selby at the Bocskai in Hungary.

The team won a medal in every weight category at the Commonwealth Federations in March when it secured four gold, one sliver and five bronze.

Last month, Khalid Yafai and Iain Weaver won gold and silver respectively at the Prime Ministry Tournament in Turkey.
