Tatsukawa triumphed in the women's under-63-kilograms final at the Tips Arena against compatriot Seiko Watanabe.

Neither could break the deadlock but were continually penalised until the final 30 seconds when Watanabe received the final shido and was disqualified.

This gave Tatsukawa her first ever Grand Prix glory as the country moved to two golds, one silver, and two bronzes at the event. 

Mexican Prisca Awiti Alcaraz and Manon Deketer of France made up the podium as they secured the bronze medals. 

Puerto Rico's Maria Perez then clinched the women's under-70kg gold after beating Britain's Kelly Petersen-Pollard by a single waza-ari in regulation time.

The result equalled Petersen-Pollard's best World Tour finish while Dutchwoman Hilde Jager and Giovanna Scoccimarro of Germany shared third place.

In the men's under-73kg final, Israeli Tohar Butbul eventually prevailed in a remarkable bout that lasted for 13 minutes and 16 seconds.

Azeri Rashid Mammadaliyev had to settle for silver after eventually being disqualified.

Moldovan Petru Pelivan sealed the first bronze medal after just 18 seconds with a devastating ippon against Serbian Filip Jovanovic.

He was joined in third by countryman Adil Osmanov who also won rapidly, inside 30 seconds, with two waza-aris.

There was home joy in store in the men's under-81kg as Shamil Borchashvili downed Ukraine's Mykhailo Svidrak by ippon.

Georgian pair Zaur Dvalashvili and Dimitri Gochilaidze sealed the bronze medals.

The Grand Prix is set to conclude tomorrow with the women's under and over 78kg categories, the men's under-90kg, under-100kg, and over-100kg tournaments.
