United States won the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football Beach Soccer Championship for the third time after thrashing Mexico 5-0 in the final in The Bahamas.

Gabriel Silveira bagged a brace with the first and last goals as the Americans cruised home in the men's tournament held at Nassau's Malcolm Park Beach Soccer Facility.

Nicolás Perera, Ricardo Carvalho and Tomas Canale were also on target for the US who won the event for the first time since 2013, when The Bahamas also hosted.

Perera was awarded the golden ball as the best player in the tournament.

In the semi-finals, both defending champions El Salvador and hosts The Bahamas were knocked out.

The US beat El Salvador 5-2 with the Mexicans pipping The Bahamas 3-2.

Quarter-final clashes saw the Americans pip Costa Rica 5-4, El Salvador ease past Guatemala 7-2, Mexico beat Trinidad and Tobago 2-0 and Bahamas see off Panama 4-2.

In the group stage, the US won all of their matches to end the event with a 100 per cent record.

Jason Urbina of El Salvador scored 11 goals to win the golden boot.

By reaching the final, both the Americans and Mexico have qualified for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup which is due to be held in Dubai between November 16 and 26.
