The European University Sports Association has met with representatives from its member federation in Azerbaijan ©EUSA

The European University Sports Association (EUSA) has held a meeting with representatives of its member federation in Azerbaijan.

EUSA President Adam Roczek and secretary general Matjaz Pecovnik met representatives of the National University Sports Association of Azerbaijan, in a visit designed to coincide with the Badminton Europe Awards Gala.

The EUSA representatives were welcomed by Tofig Khanaliyev, the President of the Freewill Student Sport Society of Azerbaijan.

Both parties discussed activities related to university sport, participation at EUSA events, and the possibility of organising EUSA Championships or Games in Azerbaijan in future.

While in Baku EUSA representatives attended the Badminton Europe (BEC) Annual Awards Gala.

They also met with Sven Serré, the newly-elected President of Badminton Europe and other BEC officials for discussions.

Belgian Serré was elected to the BEC Presidency post during the BEC Congress in Baku, after receiving 32 out of 43 votes.
