Norway registered their 12th gold medal at the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) Nordic World Ski Championships by winning the men's 4x10 kilometres relay title in Planica.

Johannes Høsflot Klæbo, Paal Golberg, Simen Hegstad Krueger and Hans Christer Holund secured the top prize in 1 hour 32:34.7min, ahead of silver medallists Finland while bronze went to Germany.

The Finnish team of Iivo Niskanen, Perttu Hyvärinen, Ristomatti Hakola and Niko Anttola were 46.9 seconds behind Norway.

Germany completed the final podium place thanks to the effort ofAlbert Kuchler, Janosch Brugger, Jonas Dobler and Friedrich Moch, who clocked 1:33:54.5.

"It was nice," Klæbo said after the win.

"I had a huge gap so I just cruised out there and I was able to wave and almost speak to the coaches out there.

"It was an amazing relay for the Norwegian team and I'm proud of what the other guys have done here."

This was Germany's first men's relay medal since 2011.

France and Canada finished fourth and fifth respectively.

In the ski jumping, Timi Zajc of Slovenia ensured the home crowd enjoyed the day by winning the gold medal.

Japan's Ryoyu Kobayashi finished second while bronze went to Poland's Dawid Kubacki.

Zajc scored 287.5 points after jumping 137 and 137.5 metres for the title.

Meanwhile, Kobayashi jumped 135 and 129.5 to earn 2756.8 points for the silver medal.

Kubacki matched the Japanese with his 135m jump but the other one was 129m, meaning he settled for bronze after scoring 272.6 points.
