Hosts Ghana excelled at the African Cycling Confederation Para-cycling Road Continental Championships in Accra, with Richard Atta winning two golds in the men's C4 classification.

Peter Dery triumphed in the men's individual road race B, with Nigeria's Oyindamola Abdullhai Tijani placing second and another home favourite in Alhassan Maltiti third.

The women's individual road race B was dominated by Ghanaian cyclists, with Favour Ayiglo placing first, Susan Owusu second and Alice Adakurugu third.

The host nation enjoyed a one-two-three in the men's C4 individual time trial, as Atta claimed victory in 31min 47sec ahead of Clement Agyemang's 37:31 and Amos Ahiagah's 41:33.

Atta staved off compatriot Placidio Gume and Ahiagah to take men's C4 individual road race gold.

Wasila Baba provided further success for Ghana with a 53;55 effort in the women's C4 individual time trial, and compatriot Nina Okoroafor starred in the women's individual time trial B, claiming victory in 44:18.

Haytam El Amraouy of Morocco won the men's C1 individual road race and time trial, and there was further success for the country with 57-year-old Mohamed Bouchfar in the men's C2 individual road race and time trial.

Senegal's Macoumba Toure clinched a men's H3 individual time trial and road race double, as did his compatriot Elhadji Mouhamed Gaye in the men's H4 class, staving off competition from fellow Senegalese rider Edmond Sanka.

Mbaye Mbaye added two more golds for Senegal with a 35:50 individual time trial effort, beating Ghana's Bossman Anyensu by nearly two minutes, and a strong display in the road race to beat the same rival.

Zinedine Merabet of Algeria clinched a men's C5 time trial and road race double, and compatriot Aymen Djaber was his closest challenger in both.

Nigeria was the other nation who had an athlete on top of the podium, Oyindamola Abdullhai Tijani clocking 29:18 to beat the 29:47 from Dery and 35:26 from Alexander Moro.
