The Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games, which was postponed by a year due to concerns raised by the COVID-19 pandemic, is set to launch a promotional tour through 10 cities on February 16.

The event will revolve around the celebration of the fourth anniversary of the Greater Bay Area's opening in the Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macau region. 

It will include six cultural activities, consisting of one performance, two publicity events, and three running races. 

The performance, named "Asian Games Music", will occur in the Canton Tower, aiming  to deliver cultural themes to the audience and create a celebratory scenery. 

This will include a show across the Qiantang River that showcases the imagery that will be advertised during the Games. 

The three mascots Congcong, Chenchen and Lianlian is expected to make their first appearance in the area during the celebrations.

The running races will be held in three different locations in the cites of Guangzhou and Zhuhai, allowing around 1,000 citizens to participate in the event nicknamed "Asian Games UP". 

Other countries will also join the action with Qatar and Bhutan hosting activities.

The promotional tour looks to relive the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games, going through six areas and illustrating the contrast between "Jiangnan Charm" and "Guangdong Culture".

The 2022 Asian Games is set to open on September 23 and conclude on October 8.
