The taekwondo competitions at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games is set to be held on roll mats provided by Barcelona-based company Daedo, it has been reported.

Daedo is a leading taekwondo Protector Scoring System (PSS) provider and has acted as a PSS supplier for the last three editions of the Summer Olympics - between London 2012 and Tokyo 2020.

Known for its customisable design and high quality, the company’s roll mats help in preventing mat burn and knee injuries, it has been claimed.

The roll mats from Daedo were used at the Guadalajara 2022 World Taekwondo Championships and is expected to be seen at the World Championships in Azerbaijan.

"We are thrilled to have been chosen as the Sole Supplier of the Taekwondo mat for Paris 2024," Chuen-wook Park, founder and chief executive of Daedo, was quoted as saying by MASTKD.

Roll mats from Daedo is also expected to make an appearance at other multi-sport events like the Asian Games, European Games and Pan-American Games.

The company has almost 40 years of experience in the martial arts industry.

It also supports athletes preparing for the Olympics through sponsorships.

Last year, Daedo signed a three-year sponsorship deal with GB Taekwondo.
