Serbia and France won the men’s and women’s International Basketball Federation (FIBA) 3x3 Europe Cup titles in Graz, Austria.

Top seeds Serbia defended the men’s title with a 21-14 win over Latvia in the final.

Earlier Serbia edged past Poland 21-18 in the quarter-finals, before beating Netherlands 21-10 in the semi-finals.

Latvia easily beat Israel in the quarter-finals 21-7, before edging past Lithuania by a single point 21-20 in the last four.

Third place went to fifth seeds The Netherlands, following a 21-10 victory over second seeds Lithuania.

In the women’s event there was a new team crowned champions with second seeds France taking the title after a 21-14 win over third seeds The Netherlands.

On route to the final, France edged past Lithuania 18-16 in the quarter-finals before eliminating holders Spain with a 21-11 win in the semi-finals.

In the last eight, Netherlands knocked out the top seeds Germany 17-12, before a semi-final triumph over Poland 20-15.

After winning last year, Spain had to settle for fourth this time around, after being beaten 16-13 by Poland in the third-place game.
