Charles McKeown won the men's singles sculls in a time 6min 57.74sec - the only sub-seven minute clocking in the race.

Chen Zhi of China took silver in 7:00.24 and they was bronze for Joel Naukkarinen of Finland in 7:03.89.

They also triumphed in the men's coxless pairs, the men's and women's coxless four and the men's and women's eights.

China enjoyed home success in the women's double sculls and the lightweight double sculls.

Italy won the corresponding men's lightweight event while also tasting victory in the men's heavyweight double sculls.

Hungary won the women's pair title and the lightweight men's coxless four.

The flagship women's single sculls was won by Lucie Zabova of Czech Republic.

She crossed first in 7:40.94 as Cara Grzeskowiak of Australia and Baukje Zaaijer of The Netherlands clinched silver and bronze.

Grzeskowiak clocked 7:42.27 and Zaaijer 7:49.36.

New Zealand's Harrison Somerville also tasted individual gold in the men's lightweight single sculls.

He clocked 7:02.87 to beat Joachim Agne of Germany, who was second in 7:05.31, and Alfonso Maria Scalzone of Italy, who was third in 7:08.85.
