Russian state-owned radio station Russkoye Radio has been announced as the official information partner of the 2019 Winter Universiade in Krasnoyarsk.

Russkoye Radio, which has more than 2.5 million weekly listeners, will give fans the opportunity to be the first to know the latest news regarding preparation for the Universiade.

The station will report news about the construction of buildings for the Games, as well as on the organisation of services for guests and athletes at the event.

Russkoye Radio presenters will talk about the preparation of volunteers and the activities of Universiade ambassadors, such as gymnast Svetlana Khorkina and figure skater Adelina Sotnikova.

They will also broadcast information about the celebrations and implementation of cultural projects within the 2019 Universiade.

Construction work on the infrastructure for the Games recently restarted following a break for the New Year holidays.

The 2019 Winter Universiade is scheduled to take place from March 2 to 12.
