Applications are now open for the cultural programme of the 2019 Winter Universiade ©Krasnoyarsk 2019

Potential participants are invited to put forward applications for entry into the cultural programme of the 2019 Winter Universiade in Krasnoyarsk.

The Russian city is looking for applications from a range of categories.

They range from folk art to alternatives types of entertainment like electronic music, video art and stand-up comedy. 

They are also looking for multi-genre projects and mass street events.

To enter the competition, contestants must put forward a plan for their activity.

This should include a list of necessary equipment, costs, a demonstration of the activity’s uniqueness and a description of duties for the participants,

Applications will receive extra points if they are presented in an electronic format with photos and videos, demonstrating examples of their work.

The jury panel judging the applications will include representatives of the Winter Universiade 2019, well-known figures involved in culture and arts in Krasnoyarsk and members of the Ministry for Culture.

The criteria that the panel will consider are the cost, public significance, use of new technologies and potential audience reach of the projects as well as previous successes of the contestants themselves.

The winners of the contest will receive resources to help put on their cultural displays around Krasnoyarsk during the Games.

The deadline for the contest, open to applicants from all over Russia, is April 9 next year, with no more than eight winners being selected from each category.
