Yang Ho-Chen provided some Saturday delight for hosts Chinese Taipei after she won gold in the women's roller sports marathon at the Taipei 2017 Summer Universiade here.

She led a one-two finish for the host nation in front of Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen, who took in some of the action after part of the course took athletes near the Presidential Office.

Yang crossed the line first in 1 hour 27min 43sec.

Compatriot Li Meng-Chu followed very closely behind in second place with her time of 1:27.43.

Colombia's Maria Camila Guerra Guevara took home the bronze in 1:27:44.

The men's race went the way of South Korea's Choi Gwangho.

Following a thrilling sprint finish, Choi edged Colombian Carlos Esteban Perez Canaval to take gold in 1:07:15.

Perez Canaval finished inches behind in 1:07:15 to take silver with Giuseppe Bramante of Italy completing the podium in 1:07:15.

Russia and Serbia claimed the final two taekwondo gold medals of Taipei 2017 with victories in the men's and women's team kyorugi competitions respectively at the Taoyuan Arena.

The Russians eased to the men's title after beating hosts Chinese Taipei 34-20 in the gold medal match.

South Korea and Kazakhstan were beaten semi-finalists and therefore had to be content with bronzes.

While Russia breezed to the men's title, Serbia produced an even more dominating display to become women's champions.

They blew Poland out of the water to win the gold medal 36-5.

Mexico and South Korea completed the podium.

In today’s sole diving final, Mexico's Arantxa Chavez claimed the gold medal in the women's three metres springboard final at the University of Taipei.

It was her third title of Taipei 2017 after also winning the mixed and women's synchronised 3m springboard crowns earlier in the competition.

Two final dives of 72.85 and and 70.50 propelled her to the top of the standings, where she finished with a total score of 327.85.

Brooke Schultz of the United States finished with silver on 323.05 while South Korea's Kim Suji rounded out the podium on 309.90.

South Korea overcame Japan to be crowned women's team table tennis winners at the New Taipei City Xinzhuang Gymnasium.

The scores had been level after the first two ties, which saw Jeon Jihee and Minami Ando secure wins for their respective nations.

An 11-3, 11-7, 11-2 win for Japan's Ayami Narumoto over An Yeongeun put Japan one win away from the title.

Jeon responded by overcoming's Japan's Ando 15-17, 11-1, 12-10, 11-4.

South Korea's comeback was completed by Lee Eunhye, who beat Rika Suzuki 11-5, 11-8, 11-7, sealing a dramatic 3-2 win.

China won the men's equivalent, defeating Japan 3-0 in much more comfortable fashion.
