North Korea's Kim Kuk Hyang brought weightlifting competition to a fitting close at Taipei 2017 with yet another title for her country.

Victory in the women's over-90 kilograms event saw Kim add a seventh North Korean gold medal in the sport.

She finished on a total of 299kg at the Tamkang University Shaomo Memorial Gymnasium here.

Thailand's Chitchanok Pulsabsakul finished second with a total of 270kg while Great Britain's Mercy Brown claimed bronze on 234kg.

A sensational performance from Ukraine's Iryna Dekha saw her set three Universiade records en-route to claiming the women's 90kg crown.

Record attempts of 111kg in the snatch and 135kg in the clean and jerk handed her an overall score of 246kg, also a new record at a Universiade.

Silver went to Russia's Diana Mstieva on 242kg, while home favourite Lo Ying-Yuan wrapped up bronze on 235kg.

Armenia's Gor Minasyan sealed the men's over-105kg competition gold.

Lifts of 200kg in the snatch and 230kg in the clean and jerk gave him an unbeatable overall total of 430kg.

Chen Shih-Chieh of Chinese Taipei attempted to beat Minasyan with an audacious final attempt of 241kg but was unsuccessful and finished second on 415kg.

South Korean Hwang Wooman rounded out the podium with a combined score of 399kg.

In today’s sole diving competition, Russia's Ilia Zakharov and Evgenii Kuznetsov won the men's three metres synchronised springboard title at the University of Taipei.

Following a final jump of 84.36, the duo finished on an overall score of 428.07 which was good enough for victory.

South Korea's Woo Haram and Kim Yeongnam finished more than 10 points behind in second on 417.93.

Italy's Gabriele Auber and Lorenzo Marsaglia rounded out the podium on 387.12.

Iran enjoyed a superb night in taekwondo, winning two of the four available gold medals at the Taoyuan Arena.

Saeid Rajabi won his country’s first title of the evening when he defeated Lee Seunghwan of South Korea 8-6 in the final of the men's 87kg competition.

Russia's Rafael Kamalov and Bartosz Kolecki of Poland completed the medal positions as they both took bronze medals.

Mirhashem Hosseini then won Iran's second title of the night.

He prevailed in the final of the men's under-63kg event after defeating Lucas Guzman of Argentina 17-5.

Mahammad Mammadov of Azerbaijan and Croatia's Lovre Brecic both took third place.

South Korea's Lee Dabin strolled to the women's under-73kg crown.

Facing Cansel Deniz of Kazakhstan in the gold medal match, the Korean comfortably dispatched her opponent 34-11 to seal the title.

Bronze medals were shared between Sude Bulut of Turkey and Reshmie Oogink of The Netherlands.

Serbia's Tijana Bogdanovic narrowly won the fourth and final taekwondo title of the evening.

She edged South Korea's Lim Geumbyeol 15-13 in the gold medal of encounter of the women's under-53kg category.

German Madeline Folgmann and Iranian Nahid Kiyanichandeh shared the two bronze medals.
