After stable wind conditions meant only one race was possible on the opening day yesterday, the schedule kicked into full gear today with three races held across the fleets.

Dempsey, a silver medallist at the London 2012 Olympics and a bronze medallist from Beijing 2008, was second in yesterday's sole affair and had another strong day today.

He won the opening race before coming second in race two and fifth in race three, for a points tally of 10.

Frenchman Louis Giard, who was fifth after day one, has moved up to second after sixth, fifth and second placed finishes in the three races respectively.

He has 18 points while China's Aichen Wang, the world number one, is now third after winning race two.

The Chinese was 12th yesterday but his victory, coupled with coming second in race one and eighth in race three, has seen him climb up the standings.

Victory in the third race went to Spaniard Ivan Pastor Lafuente, who recovered from 32nd yesterday to also record a seventh place in race one and 11th in race two.

He is 11th in the overall standings, one ahead of yesterday's winner Shahar Zubari of Israel, who has plummeted down the standings after failing to finish race three.

In the men's yellow fleet, Poland occupy the top two positions with Pawel Tarnowski leading the way after a hat-trick of second place finishes for 14 points.

His compatriot Piotr Myszka is second after winning race three, with Dutch windsurfer Kiran Badloe, the winner of race two, in third.

Frenchman Julien Bontemps won race one and sits fourth.

In the women's blue fleet, Italy's Flavia Tartaglini did enough to lead the way with seventh, sixth and second placed finishes for a total of 17 points.

Malgorzata Bialecka dominated the yellow fleet, winning all three races.
