insidethegames shortlisted for top media awards

We are delighted to announce that five of the insidethegames.biz award entries to the Online Media Awards have been shortlisted.

David Owen, Alan Hubbard and Mike Rowbottom have all been shortlisted in the Best Freelance Writer category, acknowledging their hard work, knowledge and skill when writing for insidethegames.biz.

In the Best Brand Development category, competition is fierce, the other three shortlisted brands being the Independent’s i100, AOL’s The Huffington Post and Yahoo’s Lifestyle.

In the Best Commercial Innovation category, the opposition comprises six heavyweight publishers, with entries from Dennis Publishing, Heat magazine, TheSchoolRun.com and three entries from the Financial Times.

Managing Director, Sarah Bowron, said “A strong branding presence is part of the DNA of insidethegames.biz with branded clothing, including our popular lime green with magenta pink spots silk tie, branded merchandise, laptops and phones - not to mention the “little ITG bear” who, with his many cousins, has claimed humans to live with throughout the Olympic Movement, all contribute to our brand being the most visible of all the Olympic media, and helping to ensure that the best journalism in the business is truly recognised and rewarded.”

There will be a glittering Awards Dinner in London’s West End next week when the esteemed winners will be announced.
