The deal with the Bahrain Olympic Committee was signed during the Olympic Solidarity and Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) Regional Forum for West, Central and South Asian National Olympic Committees in Manama, Bahrain.

The Forum, held at the Regency Intercontinental Hotel, gave each of the 26 NOCs in attendance chance to discuss issues spanning the principles of good governance, communication with respective Governments and structure, as well as specific programmes, the election process and partnering with the private sector to develop sport, with extra emphasis placed on preparations for the upcoming Incheon 2014 Asian Games.

The two-year agreement was signed by Lana Al Jaghbeer, JOC secretary general, and Rahman Askar, secretary general of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.

It will see mutual cooperation in training, refereeing and training camps as well as supporting each other's sporting events and working together in the field of Sports Medicine.

The deal with Bahrain follows a similar three-year agreement signed with the Egypt Olympic Committee which will also see the two organisations forge closer ties in the aforementioned areas.

The NOCs will also exchange knowledge and experience in venue and sports management, whilst establishing friendly matches to take place between the national teams of each country.

Following the agreements, Al Jagbeer said: "The JOC, according to the directions of its President, HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein, will continue to pursue areas of cooperation with National Olympic Committees from across the world that will improve our performance in all sports."
