Registration opens for the 2014 SportAccord Convention on Monday ©SportAccord ConventionNovember 28 - Registration for the 2014 SportAccord Convention, taking place in the Turkish city of Belek, is set to open on Monday (December 2).

The annual meeting of sport's most powerful leaders - this year it is expected to attract more than 2,000 delegates, will this time take on the theme of "Sport's New Frontier" when it is held in the Antalya Province on the Mediterranean from April 6 to 11.

As well as featuring an interactive session on "Rule-breakers and Game-changers", the SportAccord Convention will also include topics, such as creating better sporting equality, integrity and what today's youth really think about sport.

More than 80 stands have already been booked for the exhibition, with the likes of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), the International University Sports Federation (FISU), UK Sport, City of Berlin and Aggreko among the confirmed exhibitors, while the sports demo zone will also be back by popular demand.

Belek, meanwhile, offers over 30 four-star and five-star hotels and is served by Antalya International Airport.

"This [Belek] is a world of sea, sunshine and sand, so it's a very different location for us to bring the [SportAccord] Convention to you," BBC World journalist and anchor David Eades said.

"It's also an opportunity to bring to you the visions and the ideas from some of our new leaders in the world of sport and you'll be hearing from some of them in the course of the Convention.

"It's an opportunity for you to network, for you to debate and discuss the important issues surrounding your own sports as well as other sports in search of common ground and common interest.

"We hope to have one or two big sporting names with us during the course of the convention."
