gwangjumedicalFebruary 27 - Medical rooms and doping control rooms which will be used at the 2015 Summer Universiade in Gwangju are "high standard facilities", according to Dr Lawrence Rink, chair of the International Medical Committee (CMI) of the International University Sports Federation (FISU).

Rink visited the South Korean city to evaluate the progress of medical facilities and was satisfied with the facilities after inspecting preparations regarding doping, insurance, public hygiene, athletes' safety, medical support, and service sites at three of the Games venues, as well as Chonnam University Hospital and Chosun University Hospital.

Gwangju organisers and the FISU CMI will further collaborate in the months to come to ensure that medical facilities are of the highest standard possible before the Games commence in July 2015.
